Synopsis

The theme of "The Blue Man" is what we inherit and what we pass on to the next generation.

The story frame draws on a little known episode in the last summer of Grieg’s life in 1907. The composer found inspiration in the people round him. Despite increasing illness and mental instability he managed an extraordinary last mountain trip to the top of Blåmannen, The Blue Man.
