Writers Guild of Norway
The Writers Guild of Norway was founded in 1938 and is a special interest organisation for authors who write for the stage, film, television, radio and gaming. The guild’s aim is to uphold and promote the artistic and financial interests of Norwegian playwrights and to strengthen copyright protection. The guild also serves as a venue for social and professional interaction. The Writers Guild of Norway is a member of the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions (LO). The aim of this is to ensure that Norwegian playwrights have regular working conditions.
NORWEGIAN DRAMA NOW
Norwegian Drama Now is published by the Writer's Guild of Norway in close collaboration with The Norwegian Centre for New Playwriting – NCNP (Dramatikkens hus). The publications are supported by NORLA and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Each edition is a selection of the current playwrights.
